Job summary

Ideal Innovations, Inc. in Bethesda, MD seeks a Test Engineer SME to own automated testing within a SAFe Agile DevSecOps pipeline on a commercial cloud platform.

You will write Python validation scripts and automated tests with Selenium and Katalon Studio, shape test strategies, and drive performance and data validation in CI/CD.

US Citizenship with TS/SCI and CI poly is required; strong experience in AWS, DevOps, and SAFe environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with a CI poly is required.
• Masters with 15+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 13+ years of relevant experience; substitutions allowed.
• Ability to test front-end and back-end processes.
• Experience scripting in Python for automation.
• Extensive experience creating, executing, and documenting test cases in an Agile cadence.
• Extensive experience working within Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS) and DevOps tools.
• Experience working in SAFe Agile and DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives and testing of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
• Assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality.
• Develop test approaches emphasizing automation of recurring/regression tests.
• Develop test validation scripts using Python and automated test cases with Selenium and Katalon Studio.
• Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and configuration management of test cases/scripts.
• Support performance testing using JMeter and document end-to-end test narratives in JIRA/Confluence.
• Generate test data and identify use/corner cases to meet User Story/Customer needs.
