Job summary

Ideal Innovations, Inc. in Bethesda, MD seeks a Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality within a CI/CD pipeline on AWS.

You will build robust automation frameworks using Selenium or Katalon Studio and integrate with Jenkins and GitHub, contributing to end-to-end testing and performance assessments. The role requires strong Java or Python skills, Agile/SAFe experience, and active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
• BS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or MS with 2+ years; degree waivers considered.
• Experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Experience creating, authoring, executing and documenting test cases for agile software.
• Hands-on design and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Strong Java or Python programming skills to write scalable test scripts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub) and integration with automated tests.
• Direct experience with software performance testing practices.
• Experience with commercial cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps in SAFe Agile environments.
• Ability to collaborate to execute test cases aligned with user story acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile software development activities (standups, planning) to support testing within a cloud environment.
• Assess story points and complexity to ensure proper testing and delivery per acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Developers to automate recurring/regression tests.
• Develop automated test cases for custom applications using GUI/COTS tools (Selenium, Katalon Studio).
• Leverage DevOps to ensure repeatability and configuration management of test scripts.
• Document end-to-end test case narratives and support performance testing using tools like JMeter.
