Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support a federal IT modernization effort in a classified environment. The role focuses on verifying secure digital capabilities across ServiceNow and integrated systems, with emphasis on automation and built-in quality in an Agile setting.

You will analyze requirements, define test strategies, develop automated tests with ATF, execute comprehensive testing, and document results in Jira while coordinating across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Ability to obtain additional customer suitability approvals.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GISCP, GSEC, SSC).
• Partial telework during initial development phases.
• Full-time on-site presence at secure facility in Washington, DC as program matures.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical, operational, security, and customer teams.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading test design and execution for complex software, cloud, or mission systems.
• Experience with test automation, test data management, DevOps/CI tools, source control, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to analyze application behavior, interfaces, logs, configurations, and code to isolate defects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, designs, interfaces, and user stories to ensure capabilities are complete and testable.
• Define test strategies, plans, procedures, test data, acceptance criteria, and expected results for ServiceNow and integrated systems.
• Develop automated tests using ServiceNow ATF and other approved tools.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, configuration, end-to-end, OPS, and UAT tests.
• Document results, defects, risks, and configuration changes in Jira; maintain requirements traceability.
• Support sprint planning, reviews, demonstrations, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, CM, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Lead testing for assigned capabilities/releases; coordinate across components.
• Review test cases/evidence; mentor junior testers; improve automation and regression coverage.
