Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Mission Engineer to lead external success of SRM products, planning flight campaigns and offsite testing. You will interface with DoD partners, drive test campaigns, and ensure safety and compliance while representing Ursa Major in field operations.

The role requires scalable problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and willingness to travel up to half the year for multi-week campaigns. Join a team delivering critical propulsion solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 4+ years in mission operations, test engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact between Ursa Major and customer program manager/flight test lead.
• Shape test objectives, oversee execution, interpret results and communicate insights.
• Ensure test plans and hardware work instructions are followed and compliant.
• Generate and track program milestones and assist in validation across the lifecycle.
• Support motor/engine operations, readiness, checkouts, instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Develop internal qualification plans and ensure system engineering alignment.
