Okta is seeking a highly specialized Software Engineer in Test for a restricted environment. You will be the sole QA resource, certifying releases and ensuring uptime of mission-critical software.

The role blends testing acumen with system-level understanding across product infrastructure, release versioning, and automation. Candidates must have active TS/SCI clearance, 4+ years in software QA and SaaS, and experience with Java-based automation.

Qualifications

• Must have active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• 4+ years QA experience, focusing on release-based testing.
• 4+ years SaaS experience.
• Experience with server and client-side device tech.
• Strong automation code debugging, Java-based.
• Ability to work as sole QA resource in a restricted environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and refine requirements with Development and Engineering Leads to certify releases.
• Participate in a scrum team environment.
• Manage deliverables under minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Development and Release Teams on product infrastructure growth and high availability.
• Understand top customer usage patterns to define critical test coverage.
• Review changes entering test and staging environments.
• Ensure new changes are compatible with existing deployments.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end/system test plans and automation for weekly releases.
• Set up and maintain test configurations and lab environments.
• Prioritize critical customer usage patterns for weekly releases.
• Support QA efforts across deployment and release teams as a quality authority.
