Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Senior Test Engineer-II to support new product and sustaining test engineering for a wide range of digital and mixed-signal devices.

You will develop test programs, perform platform conversions, and lead cross-functional teams to improve test software and hardware for cost effectiveness while providing technical leadership to contract manufacturers. Strong C/C++ and scripting skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; 0–2.5 years experience.
• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits from transistor to system level.
• Hands-on experience with ATE hardware/software development (Diamond X, J750, Uflex).
• Expertise in silicon development, validation, and correlation methodologies.
• Advanced statistical analysis; proficient in scripting (e.g., Perl) and YieldHub.

Responsibilities

• Perform test program development, debug, and characterization for NPI.
• Lead platform conversions between ATE platforms.
• Improve test hardware/software cost-effectiveness through value engineering.
• Lead cross-functional test software engineering teams for products.
• Provide technical leadership resolving test software/hardware issues.
• Support contract manufacturers with tactical engineering assistance.
