Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced test engineer to develop and support automated test systems for ICs used in residential and commercial detection systems. You will work with Design, Product, Applications, and Marketing to validate, test, and characterize new mixed-signal devices.

The role requires a strong background in ATE test solutions, a senior level of C++ programming, and the ability to mentor other engineers across multiple locations. Travel 0–25% may be involved.

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
10+ years’ experience developing ATE test solutions for ICs.
Self-motivated with excellent communication in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions.
Define test system requirements and supporting infrastructures with engineering and production.
Develop, debug, and release automated test system hardware and software for engineering and production use.
Sustain and improve automated test systems for cost-effective manufacturing.
Mentor junior test engineers and share knowledge across sites.
