Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc., a DoD-accredited contractor with SDVOSB status, seeks a Senior Test Engineer in the San Diego area for a hybrid role (60% onsite, 40% remote). The position supports critical Navy programs involving testing of complex systems, with a strong focus on test plans, documentation, and collaboration with government teams.

The ideal candidate holds an active Secret clearance, a technical degree and 8+ years in testing or evaluation, plus experience in DoD processes and risk

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or related field with 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures, reports and verification artifacts.
• Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition, systems engineering, verification, validation and risk management.
• Ability to advise stakeholders on security requirements and cybersecurity trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated test and evaluation strategies for communications and navigation systems and platform integration.
• Coordinate with PM, Lead Engineers, Test IPT and oversee T&E efforts.
• Plan and support developmental, operational, interoperability, integration, shock/vibration, cybersecurity, certification and regression testing.
• Create and maintain test plans, procedures, master plans, readiness materials and test reports.
• Liaise with OPTEVFOR, JITC, OPNAV sponsors, NAVWAR, labs and external partners as required.
• Support technical lead during lab, land-based, platform, flight and shipboard test events.
• Develop data collection plans; analyze data; identify deficiencies, anomalies and risks.
• Lead creation of testing deliverables and support Systems Engineering Reviews.
