Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to design, analyze, and implement test plans for board-level electronics used in satellite and aerospace systems. You will build test architectures, develop test software, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust verification from prototype to production.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, ~9 years of experience, hands-on with lab instruments, and proficiency in Python.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• 9 years of design, analysis, and test-systems experience.
• Experience designing and executing test plans for board-level electronics.
• Hands-on with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF generators, VSA.
• Python programming or scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages.
• Plan board-level verification tests including high-speed signals and power.
• Develop test systems for complex hardware/software like phased array products.
• Write test software to interface with DUTs and equipment.
• Advise design-for-testability and document results.
