Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Test Engineer III to lead development and execution of comprehensive test plans for aerospace and defense systems. You will manage multiple test projects, ensuring product compliance and performance, with extensive system testing across mission equipment such as communications, computing, navigation and surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a technical field related to aerospace or defense.
• 6+ years of aerospace or defense test engineering experience required.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong understanding of test and evaluation principles and methodologies.
• Proven engineering knowledge and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with Verification and Validation activities and test documentation.
• Ability to read schematics and follow test procedures; strong troubleshooting.
• Active/clear security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain flight test plans, procedures, and reports per requirements.
• Support program-level test planning, risk identification and resource coordination.
• Execute developmental, qualification, and flight test activities for mission systems.
• Operate RF and electronic test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, D/A units).
• Support aircraft integration, subsystem checkout and anomaly investigation.
• Participate in Test Readiness Reviews, Safety Review Boards and post-test data analyses.
• Interface with systems engineering, avionics, software and program management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior test engineers.
