Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division in Grand Rapids is seeking a Lead Test Engineering Technician to design, build, troubleshoot, and support advanced test systems for electro-mechanical actuation products.

Responsibilities include assembling circuits, developing test setups, and operating lab equipment while maintaining the lab and providing technical leadership to technicians. Some travel is required; ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years in a technical role.
• Experience with electro-mechanical actuation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, troubleshoot, and support advanced test systems for actuation products.
• Wire, assemble, and troubleshoot circuit boards and related hardware.
• Develop test setups and execute mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental tests per plans.
• Maintain lab equipment and provide technical leadership to technicians.
