Job summary

Eaton's IS AER FMC Aerospace division in Grand Rapids, Michigan seeks a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer to advance momentum products, improve reliability, and drive manufacturing quality improvements. The role reports to the Engineering Manager, Electronic Products and focuses on motor controllers, DC motors, and electromechanical components.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least five years of experience, and on-site work in Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering role.
U.S. person required under ITAR regulations for this position.
No relocation benefit for this position; only candidates within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI considered.

Responsibilities

Lead momentum product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and system hardware.
Sustain product viability through evaluation and redesign of hardware with obsolete components.
Develop test plans, specifications and test procedures for requalification activities; coordinate testing and evaluate results.
Support Launch for New Product Development and Supplier Product Transfer initiatives.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to drive cost reduction and reliability improvements.
Provide technical support to operations, NPD, procurement, and customers as required.
