Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Test Automation Lead to drive testing and quality engineering across the HELM Product Line within an Agile/DevSecOps environment. You will lead planning, execution, and continuous improvement of automated testing, ensuring traceability, secure and compliant releases, and strong collaboration with VA stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with PhD.
• Willingness to obtain ISTQB Agile Tester Certification (WS15.1).
• U.S. Citizenship required; VA background eligibility.
• Experience leading software testing and automation for complex enterprise IT systems.
• Experience in Agile/DevSecOps environments with testing integrated into sprint, build, release, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and quality engineering across HELM Product Line.
• Develop, implement, maintain automated test strategies and scripts.
• Plan and oversee unit, functional, system, security, performance, accessibility testing.
• Maintain RTM and ensure traceability across artifacts and releases.
• Lead defect management and ensure evidence-based validation.
• Provide test execution status, reports, and evidence per sprint/release.
• Coordinate with VA stakeholders and release teams for release readiness.
• Ensure 95% of planned release test cases execute and VA acceptance for critical defects.
