Job summary

ID.me is seeking a Software Development Engineer III for Test Infrastructure in Mountain View, CA. You will build automation frameworks and testing infrastructure to enable rapid, reliable releases for identity and commerce services.

Responsibilities include end-to-end and integration testing, canary deployments, and AI-assisted testing. The role requires 4+ years in software engineering, with hands-on Playwright/Jest experience and CI/CD integration skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s) as a software engineer in modern web apps and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Jest, and API automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience testing e-commerce/marketplace experiences, including offers and cashback logic, affiliate/attribution and click-tracking accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation frameworks (Playwright, Python, Jest, API automation) for comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop end-to-end and integration tests for asynchronous, event-driven systems (Temporal).
• Support testing-in-production practices including canary deployments and progressive rollouts.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and create reusable workflow components.
