Job summary

NinjaTrader's web trading platform team is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to own quality for a dedicated product squad. You will build automation that makes shipping faster and more reliable, working alongside engineers and product managers.

This role focuses on Playwright-based tests, TypeScript/JavaScript, and CI/CD integration, with a hybrid office schedule in Chicago and compensation including a salary range and bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA engineering and test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Experience writing automation in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience building modular test architectures (Page Object Model).
• Collaborate with engineers to design testability into features.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software testing lifecycle and design principles.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools for testing.

Responsibilities

• Own quality end-to-end for an assigned product squad, from test strategy to release confidence.
• Define acceptance criteria with designers and product managers at the design stage.
• Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automated tests using Page Object Model patterns.
• Write automation in TypeScript/JavaScript and contribute to shared frameworks.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD with clear quality gates.
