Job summary

NinjaTrader Clearing, LLC in Chicago, IL, seeks a Software Engineer in Test to own quality for a web trading platform product squad. You will build and maintain Playwright-based automation, define acceptance criteria with engineers and PMs, and integrate tests into CI/CD to ensure fast, reliable releases.

The role requires 5+ years in QA/test automation, strong Playwright experience, and familiarity with Page Object Model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Own quality end-to-end for an assigned product squad and ensure release confidence.
• Partner with developers and product managers to define acceptance criteria and build testability into features.
• Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automated tests following Page Object Model patterns.
• Collaborate on system design, API contracts, and application architecture for observable, testable behavior.
• Own test reliability and reduce flakiness with urgency applied to production bugs.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines so every deployment ships with quality gates.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve coverage and productivity.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing where automation is insufficient.
• Mentor junior QA team members through code reviews and pairing.
• Uphold NinjaTrader SDLC and information security standards.
