Job summary

Sand Technologies is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to accelerate automation coverage and clear a backlog of manual tests. The role focuses on GraphQL API testing, UI automation with TypeScript and Playwright, and ensuring robust automated regression scripts.

Remote position with a globally distributed team, reporting to QA leadership. You will design manual test cases and translate them into automated scripts within an established automation framework.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Quality Engineering with automation focus.
• Strong experience in TypeScript within an existing framework.
• Proven Playwright UI automation experience.
• Hands-on GraphQL API testing experience.
• Ability to design manual test cases from user stories.

Responsibilities

• Own the full testing lifecycle for new features from user stories to automated scripts.
• Expand and maintain the Playwright + TypeScript automation suite.
• Convert backlog of manual tickets into automated tests.
• Design and execute automated tests for GraphQL APIs.
• Perform thorough manual testing to validate UI/UX before automation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Review test code and maintain high standards for test data management.
