Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a skilled Web Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API and UI testing. You will work with Playwright (Python/TypeScript) to build robust test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality cloud-native solutions.

The role is 100% remote with global teams, requiring full-time availability during UK business hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in web automation testing.
• Strong proficiency with Playwright (Python/TypeScript) for end-to-end web testing.
• Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Proficient in Python/TypeScript with good software design patterns.
• Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and integrating API tests with UI tests.
• Familiarity with pytest/unittest and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable web automation framework for API and UI testing.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and automation suites using Playwright (Python/TypeScript).
• Create reusable page objects and components for test reuse.
• Implement API testing strategies (REST/GraphQL) integrated with UI tests.
• Write clear, maintainable automated tests with robust assertions and reporting.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Configure test data management, environments, and provisioning.
• Enable parallel test execution, flaky test handling, and retries.
• Monitor results, analyze failures, and provide root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to meet quality goals.
• Document framework usage, coding standards, and onboarding guides.
• Stay current with automation tooling trends and propose improvements.
