Job summary

Sand Technologies is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our QA team in a fully remote capacity. You will accelerate automation coverage, transform a backlog of manual tests into automated scripts, and ensure high-quality software across GraphQL APIs and a web UI.

You will expand the Playwright + TypeScript suite, design robust manual test cases from user stories, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to provide fast, reliable feedback to engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Quality Engineering with a heavy focus on automation.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Playwright.
• Experience testing GraphQL APIs.
• Ability to design manual test cases from user stories.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (DOM, CSS) and enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Own the full testing lifecycle from user stories to automated regression scripts.
• Expand and maintain Playwright + TypeScript automation suite.
• Convert backlog tickets into automated scripts.
• Design and execute automated tests for GraphQL APIs.
• Perform thorough manual testing to validate UI/UX.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for rapid feedback.
• Review test code and ensure data management and reliability.
