Job summary

Katmai seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automated testing across hybrid environments supporting Navy readiness and analytics platforms. You will design and maintain frameworks integrated into CI/CD with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and AWS CodePipeline, ensuring 508 compliance and strong security testing.

You will collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Developers, and Cybersecurity staff to validate software functionality, performance, and security.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of automated testing experience for enterprise apps.
• Strong scripting in JS, Python, or Java testing frameworks.
• Proficient in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and security testing.
• Familiarity with RMF/DoD cybersecurity requirements and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with version control and agile boards (Git, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated tests for complex web apps.
• Design test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline).
• Align test plans with Agile sprints and RTVM.
• Collaborate with engineers and cybersecurity staff to ensure test coverage including 508 compliance.
• Create performance, security, integration, and regression tests (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Document test cases, results, and metrics to contract deliverables.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage defects and retest using Jira or similar tools.
• Maintain test environments to mirror production for onboarding/certification.
• Participate in IPTs, sprint planning, stakeholder demos for testing insights.
• Support Navy Learning Stack program task orders as needed.
