Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Tendering Manager to convert customer requirements into competitive proposals for grid integration projects. You will coordinate with sales, engineering, operations, and suppliers, shaping pricing, risks, and tender submissions.

The role emphasizes leading a multi-discipline team, driving timely bids, and optimizing processes while advancing power infrastructure solutions. Travel 10–15% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• 7+ years in tender/bidding/sales roles.
• Experience in Power Quality Solutions or HV Substations.
• Ability to lead a multi-discipline team.
• Willingness to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and understand customer requirements and scope.
• Prepare accurate, competitive quotations using cost analysis and benchmarks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
• Manage tender timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions.
• Analyze bid opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions.
• Identify and assess risks in bids, contracts, and estimates plus present risk reviews.
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and perform quality checks.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and support a positive experience.
