Job summary

Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Senior Member Service Representative (Teller) in California to deliver high-quality member service by assessing needs and processing transactions efficiently. You will open accounts, guide product choices, and engage with members through follow-up activities and community events.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer service experience in financial services or related fields, strong communication skills, a high school diploma, and flexibility for some evenings

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in financial services or retail
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication
• Professional demeanor and adaptability
• Willingness for evenings and Saturdays
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Ability to travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to diverse members with prompt, courteous interactions
• Analyze member needs and educate on products to improve financial health
• Build relationships through active listening and clear communication
• Open accounts and submit simple loan applications after needs assessment
• Engage members through follow-ups and community events
• Work with branch leadership to maintain operational integrity and mitigate risk
• Adopt and utilize tools to enhance the member experience
• Train new team members as applicable
• Promote adoption of new technology and digital products
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and Patelco policies
• Identify and address process risks to support compliance and performance
• Other duties as assigned
