Job summary

Navitas Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Telephony / Unified Communications Engineer to provide operational, engineering, and advanced technical support for enterprise telephony environments. The role focuses on Avaya on-premises PBX, VoIP, SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, and call routing.

You will work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to maintain and improve systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and support deployments from on-premises to cloud migrations, while prioritizing

Qualifications

2+ years hands-on Avaya on-premises PBX experience.
2+ years administering VoIP and Unified Communications.
2+ years experience with SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, and call routing.
2+ years troubleshooting voice quality, carrier connectivity, and E911.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Avaya on-premises PBX and enterprise telephony systems.
Handle MACDs for voice, voicemail, conferencing, IVR, vectoring, and UC services.
Maintain accurate E911 location info and support emergency calling.
Provide advanced technical support for enterprise telephony and unified communications projects.
Configure and maintain media gateways, telephones, voice equipment, and related safety devices.
Design, implement, and improve enterprise telephony network solutions.
Troubleshoot voice quality, call routing, carrier connectivity, PSTN, SIP/RTP, and E911-related issues.
Support and troubleshoot VoIP and Unified Communications platforms.
Work with telecommunications carriers and vendors for new circuits, connectivity, and outage resolution.
Serve as a technical escalation point for complex telephony issues.
Monitor telephony and network systems to proactively identify and resolve problems.
Perform advanced maintenance and repairs to maximize system availability, performance, and resiliency.
Support enterprise telephony migrations, including on-premises to cloud-based telephony solutions.
Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with automation teams to streamline operational processes.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, standards, procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
Perform quality assurance testing for telephony changes and enhancements.
Follow established Incident Management and Change Management processes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, management, customers, and vendors to resolve incidents and deliver projects.
