Job summary

Alamon, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Technician Level 4 to support its Network Services department.

This role involves work in Central Offices, MSO, and Data Centers, installing equipment from brands like Adtran, Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, Fujitsu, Calix, Nokia and more. The position requires extensive travel and a safety-minded approach, with responsibilities that include installation, troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to Telcordia and Verizon standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of Central Office / MSO / Data Center standards.
• DC Power (-48VDC) knowledge and hot cuts experience.
• Extensive understanding of hand tools, test equipment, and ability to interface with customer products.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunication equipment and systems.
• Write GMOP / DMOP and process paperwork within EJP for each job.
• Read floor plans, rack drawings, and customer work orders.
• Install relay racking, cable racking, fiber ducting and related structures.
• Install and manage copper and fiber cables (RJ45, BNC, LC/SC, etc.).
• Maintain records of equipment configurations and maintenance activities.
