Job summary

Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks a Telecommunications/Network Technologist III to provide senior technical leadership in designing, implementing, and managing data networks and related infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include governance, DR planning, vendor coordination, and driving modernization while supporting IT operations and security.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience planning, designing and installing data networks for telecommunications needs.
• Six months of information technology project management experience including planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring and reporting.
• Knowledge of developing strategic plans for data network and telecommunications infrastructure feasibility, compatibility and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure including SAN/storage, servers, virtualization, networking, backup and disaster recovery, automation and security.
• Lead complex initiatives, perform POCs, develop engineering standards and support modernization.
• Governance, documentation, change management, DR planning/testing and process improvements while serving as a senior technical resource within DHSS IRM.
