Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Telecom DC Power Engineer to lead detail engineering for Central Office projects, power, data centers, fiber systems, and remote terminals. You will create engineering plans, interpret network diagrams, and coordinate site surveys with customers and vendors.

Candidates should have 10+ years in DC power and infrastructure, strong documentation skills, and ability to travel 10–25% across the US. Proficiency with Microsoft 360 and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years telecom DC Power/infrastructure detail engineering experience.
• High school diploma with four years of technical school or 10+ years of related training.

Responsibilities

• Create new process platforms and resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
• Work on multiple programs and projects concurrently.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and company employees to complete business requirements.
• Engineer and create installation requirements and documentation according to Telco Standard TP76300 (AT&T).
• Engineer Central Office DC Power and Battery Systems, Data Centers and Cloud equipment, fiber systems, Remote Terminals, infrastructure, and Supervisory/Alarm Systems.
• Perform or coordinate onsite site surveys at customer locations.
• Interpret network diagrams and site survey information to determine equipment placement, installation parts, cable types and connections, and power equipment needs.
• Create detailed engineering plans, documents, and drawings for transport/access networks and co-locations.
• Research manufacturer documentation to ensure correct equipment ordering and explain installation procedures.
• Maintain understanding of company policies, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.
• Comply with system update requirements for company/customer installation documents
