Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Senior Tekla Detailer to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will lead Tekla modelling and detailing for complex fabrication projects and work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure accurate shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Tekla Detailer (structural steel) with leadership.
• Ability to lead detailing projects independently.
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Strong knowledge of AISC codes, engineering standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tekla modelling and detailing for complex projects, define standards, and ensure deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements.
• Own larger scopes of fabrication projects, develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Resolve complex connections and clashes, perform QA/QC checks.
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs and NC files, and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, junior detailers, and fabrication shop personnel.
• Estimate efforts and support client communications when necessary.
• Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
• Manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues.
