Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Steel Detailer to lead the production of fabrication drawings.

You will model in Revit and Tekla Structures, interpret architectural and structural drawings, and guide junior detailers to maintain quality and compliance with project standards. This senior role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and proficiency with AISC codes, with opportunities to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabricators on challenging

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Revit Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
• Strong knowledge of AISC codes, engineering judgement, and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Experience with clash detection and coordination
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead Revit modelling and detailing for complex projects, define standards, and ensure deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements with minimal oversight
• Own larger scopes of fabrication projects, develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent
• Resolve complex connections and clashes, performing QA/QC final checks
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs and NC files, and material take-offs
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, junior detailers, and fabrication shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Estimate efforts and support client communications when necessary
• Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards
• Manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues
