Job summary

Plaid is seeking an IT Ops pro to own and extend systems that power a thousand-person company. You’ll manage macOS fleets, deploy end-to-end IAM and automation, and lead cross-functional work with Security, Engineering, and People teams. Expect on-call rotation and a hybrid NYC-area work schedule.

You will drive automation, policy-as-code, and AI tooling adoption to improve security, reliability, and productivity across core SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting a large fleet of macOS devices.
• Mobile device management for Apple devices (Iru, Intune, Workspace One).
• Configuration as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Advanced usage of bash and Python or similar languages.
• Experience using Claude Code, Codex or similar AI tooling to improve solutions.
• Experience managing and leading business use of central systems like Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira/Linear.

Responsibilities

• Lead others on the team, unblock peers and provide mentorship.
• Help build the team roadmap and justify future work with plans.
• Own and improve Okta configuration, lifecycle policies, access reviews, MFA, Workflows automation.
• Manage endpoint configuration via Iru/Kandji with policy-as-code.
• Build and maintain automation to reduce repetitive support tasks.
• Evaluate, deploy and support AI tooling to boost productivity.
• SaaS procurement and renewals for owned systems.
• Owner of many company-wide SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Linear/Jira, etc.).
• Support other Eng, Security, and GTM teams on cross-boundary projects.
• 3 days a week in the office.
