Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a Senior Technology Support Technician to act as the primary escalation resource for complex technical issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and timely resolution for district systems.

You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliable technology services for district users and support district-wide technology installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; IT training required.
• Five years of experience supporting PC, Apple, and related tech in LAN/WAN environments.
• Associate degree preferred; certifications encouraged.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+/Security+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and escalation for complex issues.
• Analyze recurring problems and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to resolve advanced issues.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff on troubleshooting.
• Follow district procedures for devices, data, and accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of district applications and standards.
