Job summary

CompassX, a boutique business and technology consulting firm in Southern California, seeks a Senior Project Management Consultant with a proven track record delivering complex technology programs.

You'll own end-to-end delivery across multi-workstream initiatives, drive cross-functional teams, manage senior client stakeholders, and elevate delivery through AI-enabled practices on local engagements.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years managing enterprise technology programs such as ERP/data platforms or digital transformation.
• Experience in a consulting or professional services context.
• Strong command of program and project management fundamentals; PMP or equivalent is a plus.
• Comfortable presenting to senior client leadership and navigating complex organizations.
• Secondary capability that strengthens delivery: business analysis, process design, or change management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex technology programs: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive cross-functional coordination among engineers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders.
• Manage senior stakeholders: build trusted client relationships and clearly communicate status.
• Build and run the PMO: establish governance cadences, RAID/status logs, and change control processes.
• Flex into adjacent needs: business analysis, requirements facilitation, or vendor coordination.
• Leverage AI to improve reporting, risk synthesis, and stakeholder communications.
