Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC seeks a Senior Lead Technology Engineer in New York to provide high‑level project leadership and discipline management within our technology department. You will manage the full lifecycle of complex building projects, serving as the primary technical resource and mentor for the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Professional credentials such as PE, CTS, RCDD, PSP.
• 2–4 years technology design lead or 5–10 years related work experience.
• Inspire and motivate staff.
• Advanced understanding of technology design concepts and ability to communicate design options to diverse stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of project phases and deliverables.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Proactive and effective communicator.
• Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
• Knowledge and application of NEC and building/energy codes.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and discipline management to deliver on time and budget.
• Prepare narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate internal/external teams.
• Apply design judgment from concepts through construction.
• Lead telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other tech system design.
• Assemble project teams and develop workplans.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work across teams.
• Apply building codes and industry standards to design.
• Oversee calculations and equipment selection.
• Prepare opinions of probable construction costs.
• Conduct site visits and issue reports.
• Mentor and train staff.
• Update master specifications and improve processes.
• Develop client relationships.
• Oversee QA/QC under project QMP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
