Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Technology Designer in Lakewood, CO to independently develop coordinated low-voltage designs and construction documents, translating owner requirements into system layouts, drawings, and specifications while supporting projects through construction administration.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience in technology design and documentation.
• Healthcare and/or Data Center experience desirable.
• BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and/or Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology systems with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and equipment requirements.
• Participate in owner and design meetings; document decisions and resolve technical questions.
• Review submittals for conformance with design intent and contract documents; respond to RFIs.
• Conduct site surveys and construction observations; review applicable test documentation.
• Check design quality, mentor designers, and coordinate workload and deadlines with the project manager.
• Different than an active technology designer - more passive technology that will prepare the owner for taking over the design.
• They will coordinate with architects, civil engineers, medical engineers, etc. for new construction and renovation projects
• They DON'T design active networks, switches, etc, instead they will be planning for equipment, telecom rooms, etc. throughout the building

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lakewood, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.Vacation is accrued evenly throughout the year and is available for use after 90 days of employment, as outlined in the offer letter. Employees receive an additional vacation day each year after one year of service, up to a maximum of four weeks total.Sick leave is provided at one week annually.The company also provides eight paid holidays annually.Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.Pays 100% of the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision coverage.Dependent premiums are generously subsidized by the company.Additional employer-paid benefits include:Prescription discount program and mail order optionEmployee life insuranceShort-term disability coverageLong-term disability coverageEmployee Assistance ProgramOffers a 401(k) plan with both pre-tax and Roth salary reduction contribution options.
