Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Lawrence, MA is seeking a senior equipment maintenance professional to install, upgrade, and sustain manufacturing machinery. You will troubleshoot using manuals and schematics, maintain records on notices and upgrades, and work to improve uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Technical or Military training in electronics or mechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years in equipment maintenance, preferably semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams and flow charts.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit troubleshooting.
  • Soldering/desoldering components on PCBs.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
  • Testing/evaluating components with analog or digital multimeter.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Technical or Military training in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience; semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and flow charts.
  • Experience in component‑level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
  • Experience soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
  • Ability to test and evaluate electrical components such as transistors, diodes, resistors, and capacitors with an analog or digital multimeter.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to equipment safety and performance.

Pay Range

We offer a total compensation package that includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonuses, health benefits, retirement savings plans, and an industry‑leading ESPP program with a 2‑year look‑back feature. The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the U.S., is $24.52 – $53.85, depending on location, skills, and experience.
