Job summary

Walmart in Kokomo, IN seeks a Senior Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment to ensure safe, reliable food equipment and facilities. You’ll inspect, repair, and maintain critical gear, interpret blueprints, manage parts and schedules, and mentor junior technicians to meet safety and regulatory standards.

Expect to lead maintenance activities, collaborate across teams, and respond to urgent issues, while upholding Walmart’s safety, quality, and service commitments in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• Commercial driving record with no major violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems following established schedules and guidelines.
• Inspect, clean, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Oversee and guide less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and instruction.
• Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor activities to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Document maintenance activities and budget information, and submit reports timely.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support critical business needs outside regular hours.
