Job summary

Toyota's TMNA Final Assembly Production Engineering Department seeks a motivated PE Seibi Assembly engineer to support procurement, design, and testing of new or modified equipment for NAMC assembly shops. The role covers from design to production start and requires strong PLC programming and robotics experience.

You will travel frequently (UP TO 50%), work overtime, and collaborate across NAMCs in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and possibly Japan. Automotive experience and driving are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or equivalent experience.
• Strong PLC programming experience in Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Toyota experience preferred.
• Travel up to 50% may be required, including international travel.
• Overtime up to 20% may be required.
• Driving is required with acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs for Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens systems.
• Program offline/online robots (Fanuc, Kawasaki).
• Verify new equipment meets standards and performs as designed.
• Prepare equipment at vendors and NAMC facilities.
• Support Seibi activities from design to start of production.
• Create countermeasures during setup, trials, and SOPs.
• Travel to NAMCs in US/Canada/Mexico and possibly Japan.
