Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a passionate PE Seibi Assembly engineer to support FAE PE with procurement, design and trialing of new or modified equipment for NAMC’s assembly shops.

You will program PLCs Toyopuc, AB, Omron and Siemens, plus offline/online robot programming for Fanuc and Kawasaki. Travel up to 50% is required; overtime and hands-on assembly work are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate technical degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Toyopuc, AB, Omron and Siemens.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Toyota experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (including international travel).
• Willingness to work up to 20% overtime when required.
• Must drive; valid MVR acceptable by company standards.

Responsibilities

• Program PLC/SPLC on Toyopuc, AB, Omron and Siemens.
• Offline/online robot programming for Fanuc and Kawasaki robots.
• Ensure new equipment meets standards and performs as intended.
• Prepare and validate new assembly equipment at vendors and NAMC.
• Support Seibi activity from design through start of production.
• Develop countermeasures during setup/trials/SOP.
• Travel to US/Canada/Mexico NAMCs and possibly abroad.
• Overtime and off-shift work as needed.
• Lift up to 40 lbs; fit for standing, bending and climbing.
• Work in varied environments (hot/cold/confined spaces).
• Operate hand and power tools with dexterity.
