Job summary

Avalore.ai is seeking a Technical Writer to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation for DoD electronic equipment and systems. You will write installation, configuration, and end-user guides for hardware and software, and create implementation guides and data-flow documentation.

You will work with engineers to produce training materials, maintain a current documentation library, and translate highly technical information for a broad audience. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with an appropriate current polygraph is required to be considered for this role; Ability to receive privileged access rights

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for hardware and software.
• Write and edit installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
• Produce end-user guides, implementation guides, and field documentation.
• Collaborate with developers to create training materials and ensure quality.
• Maintain a current internal documentation library.
• Research technical subjects and translate complex information for wide audiences.
• Produce DoD equipment and cryptologic program documentation as needed.
