Job summary

Certara USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Writer to plan, create, and maintain user-facing documentation for Certara's scientific software platforms, including Phoenix.

You will work autonomously across projects, mentoring peers and partnering with software development, product management, and SMEs on design discussions and releases. The role ensures completeness, accuracy, and timely updates of documentation across releases, applying modern structured content practices and AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience creating product documentation, online help, and Help Center content for software.
• Experience with structured, topic-based authoring and content reuse.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted content development and validation in scientific content.
• Ability to explain complex scientific or technical concepts to different audiences and validate with SMEs.
• Experience owning documentation deliverables through planning, development, review, and release in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write, and maintain product documentation, online help, release notes, and Help Center content for Certara products (e.g., Phoenix).
• Research and write content on PK/PD, pharmacometrics, biosimulation, and modeling workflows.
• Design modular, task-based content that is easy to search and maintain across channels.
• Own documentation deliverables for each release from planning to publication; track progress and risks.
• Partner with software developers, product managers, and SMEs to validate technical accuracy.
• Manage Help Center content and use analytics to prioritize updates.
