Job summary

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support the ABMS Digital Infrastructure Network Developer team for the DoD. You will transform complex technical and operational data into clear, government-compliant docs, manuals, SOPs, and ICDs aligned with standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity staff, and program managers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. You will maintain a broad set of CDRLs and documentation across program areas, including system manuals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, JIRA or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail, grammar, and structure.
• Ability to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and synthesize information into government documents.
• Familiarity with DoD documentation standards, DIDs, and CDRL management processes.
• 10% travel required (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain technical documentation including system manuals, network guides, installation procedures, runbooks, and reports.
• Collaborate with network engineers, software developers, cybersecurity professionals, and program managers to document complex information.
• Produce publications such as SOPs, ICDs, proposals, and administrative docs aligned with DoD programs.
• Translate technical content for technical and non-technical stakeholders including government customers and leadership.
• Review and refine documents produced by others to ensure accuracy and compliance with style guides.
• Coordinate documentation activities to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Support a broad range of CDRL artifacts across program areas: Program Management, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Cybersecurity, Network & Cloud Architecture, Logistics.
