Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas in Roanoke, VA, seeks a training engineer to design and deliver engineering and technical training programs over a rolling 9–12 month horizon. You will develop courses for employees and clients, plan sessions, create materials, and align content with motors, drives, HMI, and industrial power conversion technologies.

Travel up to 50% domestically and occasionally internationally, providing training at company or client facilities and contributing to program development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field
• 2 years’ experience in industrial systems, controllers, networks, HMI, drives, or motors
• Demonstrated knowledge of drive or industrial control systems
• Demonstrated ability to present technical data in a group setting
• Demonstrated experience training others in area of expertise

Responsibilities

• Develop technical courses and programs to meet skill requirements and client commitments
• Plan, prepare, and conduct training for employees, clients, and service providers at company or client facilities
• Develop generic training materials for onsite use or customization
• Ensure course materials and equipment are prepared and available prior to courses
• Recommend updated content and curricula based on products and technology
• Identify training equipment and facility requirements for current and future needs
• Monitor emerging products and enhancements through cross-functional collaboration
• Acquire knowledge to develop and conduct training on identified topics
• Contribute to annual client training schedule and ensure adherence
• Provide technical information and support for development of training modules
• Gather feedback on products and services to inform improvements
• Provide SME and course development support for group companies
