Job summary

TMEIC Corporation in Roanoke, Virginia seeks a Co-op Engineer to provide software design support for control solutions and drafting and hardware design support for electrical distribution and control systems on industrial projects. You will gather requirements, create and test software modules, and assist with HMI development and CAD drawings.

Must be enrolled in an accredited program with control automation coursework
Must demonstrate ability to learn and apply control theories and software development concepts
Available for domestic travel up to ~5%

Responsibilities

Gather information to assess project requirements for software and hardware scope
Create and document controller and HMI software modules to meet requirements
Develop electrical and control drawings using CAD software
Produce panel layouts and wiring diagrams per codes and standards
Update drawings and documentation for site commissioning
Prepare status reports for project stakeholders
Develop algorithms and transfer functions for electro-mechanical systems
Collaborate with project teams to ensure software/hardware inter-operation
