Job summary

Xcel Energy, a leader in energy services in the United States, is seeking a safety/technical training consultant to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs across the enterprise. You will develop materials, instruments, and evaluation methods, and may spend time at customer sites to support apprenticeship initiatives.

You will coordinate apprenticeship programs regionally, supervise instructional staff, and apply adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize systematic training approaches to deliver effective programs and maintain records.
• Design and develop skills enhancement strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Provide oversight for apprenticeship programs and instructional staff.
• Coordinate training processes and project management in implementation.
• Consult with customers to identify training needs and objectives.
• Design and maintain testing instruments and analyze outcomes to improve programs.
• Meet continuing training requirements and manage special projects.
