Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s products and infrastructure, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and mentoring junior team members in a 24/7 operations environment.

You will work with customers, system administrators, and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve platform-related problems, contributing to process improvements and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar advanced role.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting and CLI skills.
• Experience with enterprise networking to diagnose platform issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments in cloud/IaaS contexts.
• Excellent customer service and communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance on Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as first responder to platform-level alerts and incidents, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Lead incident analysis, perform root cause investigations, and recommend preventive actions.
• Coordinate with system administration, engineering, and networking teams to resolve platform-level problems.
• Create and maintain internal docs, knowledge base, and support procedures.
• Support enterprise environments, addressing performance, availability, and configuration issues.
