Oregon Tilth Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Technical Specialist to provide expert guidance on OTCO certification scheme requirements and related policies. You will mentor staff and ensure accreditation integrity while driving best practices across the organization.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and project-management skills, with experience in NOP scopes and ISO training. This remote position supports collaboration with multiple teams and external stakeholders.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Sustainability, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Two years of experience as a Technical Specialist or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in making certification decisions including final reviews and materials reviews.
• Expert knowledge in at least 3 NOP scopes.
• Intermediate knowledge in two additional services including internal audits.
• Effective verbal communication and public presentation skills.
• Project management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership.
• ISO 17065 and ISO 19011 training.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert-level technical guidance and support to address complex questions and scenarios.
• Represent OTCO in ACA and/or EOCC working groups.
• Complete material reviews and perform quality checks against regulations.
• Develop best practices in policy and education areas.
• Lead regulation notice changes and accreditation planning.
• Lead internal audits and verify corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist with accreditation reporting.
• Assist with implementing corrective actions from external audits.
• Lead Quality department projects.
• Serve as a Document Control Representative.
• Follow and enforce Quality Department procedures.
