Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking a Technical Specialist to collaborate with the design team, ensure technical accuracy, and oversee work performed by others across design disciplines. The role includes assisting with scope and fee estimates for small to moderate projects within multi-disciplinary efforts.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree and extensive experience, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/InRoads, and hydrologic/hydraulic software, plus strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of job-related experience.
• Licensure/Certification: n/a

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning and design tasks and prepares construction documents.
• Provides technical expertise on complex projects across all stages.
• Builds cross‑departmental relationships to promote collaboration.
• Applies codes and standards to ensure compliance and quality of design work.
• Conducts QA/QC reviews of project submissions.
• Assists in developing project schedules and estimating labor hours.
• Collaborates to clarify and deliver defined scope of work.
• Promotes QA/QC processes to improve outcomes.
• Prepares and verifies design calculations and cost estimates.
