Meds is hiring a Technical SEO Specialist to own the architecture, health, and organic performance of our digital platforms in Austin. You will partner with engineering, product, and content teams to solve indexing challenges and scale web performance.

The role emphasizes Core Web Vitals, structured data, and proactive problem solving within a fast-paced e-commerce environment. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of dedicated technical SEO experience, ideally within e-commerce, telehealth, or high-volume DTC web platforms.
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (client-side vs. server-side rendering), HTTP status codes, and web hosting architectures.
• Advanced hands-on experience with technical SEO toolsets including Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl/Lumar, Botify, Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and WebPageTest.
• Strong analytical abilities to spot trends in raw data and convert issues into prioritized tickets for developers.
• Clear communication to distill technical SEO needs into specs and business cases for product managers and engineers.
• Local presence in Austin, TX area for hybrid/in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Technical Site Audits & Health: Conduct ongoing technical SEO audits to fix crawl errors, indexation bottlenecks, render issues, broken links, and site architecture inefficiencies.
• Core Web Vitals & Speed: Collaborate with engineering to monitor and improve page load times, mobile performance, render-blocking scripts, and Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS).
• Information Architecture & Structuring: Optimize site navigation, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicalization, and internal links to maximize crawl budget and visibility.
• JavaScript & Dynamic SEO: Audit and resolve rendering issues related to dynamic frameworks (React/Next.js/Node).
• Structured Data: Implement and validate Schema.org markup to expand rich results.
• Log File Analysis: Analyze server logs to identify crawl budget waste and optimize path priorities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Be the technical SEO expert embedded in product/web sprint workflows.
• Performance Tracking & Analytics: Monitor rankings, site metrics, crawl stats using GSC, Screaming Frog, and analytics; report findings.
