- Translating customer challenges into technical requirements, solution concepts, and executable project scopes
- Supporting the development of automation, robotics, tooling, controls, vision systems, and manufacturing integration solutions
- Collaborating with engineering, program management, supply chain, and commercial teams to develop proposals, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
- Supporting RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, proposal submissions, customer presentations, and technical reviews
- Contributing to opportunity capture strategies, value propositions, and customer-facing technical messaging
- Evaluating technical feasibility, commercial considerations, project risks, and execution requirements
- Identifying expansion opportunities and additional customer needs within existing accounts
- Supporting seamless transitions from proposal development into project execution
- Assisting with continuous improvement of proposal tools, cost models, and technical documentation processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline preferred
- Minimum seven years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, systems engineering, business development, or related roles supporting complex engineered systems
- Experience within aerospace, automation, robotics, tooling, capital equipment, custom machinery, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions for complex industrial systems
- Experience translating customer requirements into practical engineering solutions and executable scopes of work
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Experience supporting proposal development, cost estimation, scope definition, and customer-facing technical documentation
- Ability to assess technical risks, assumptions, feasibility, and commercial implications during opportunity development
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Ability to satisfy applicable export-control requirements
Preferred Skills
- Established relationships within aerospace, defense, space, or advanced manufacturing markets
- Experience supporting large-scale capital equipment or automation projects
- Background working with aerospace manufacturers, defense contractors, or advanced industrial organizations
- Experience with robotic assembly, drilling, fastening, inspection systems, precision tooling, or factory automation
- Familiarity with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or CATIA
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and requirements management
- Understanding of industrial automation safety standards
- Experience supporting international customers, suppliers, or programs
- Previous involvement in market expansion or territory development initiatives
- French language skills are considered an asset
