Senior Technical Revenue Accountant, M&A Accounting Operations

Join to apply for the Senior Technical Revenue Accountant, M&A Accounting Operations role at Autodesk.

Position Overview

The M&A Accounting Operations team supports company-wide strategic initiatives such as business model transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and digital financial transformation. The Senior Revenue Analyst will report to the M&A Accounting Operations Senior Manager to support revenue operations for all mergers and acquisitions, along with traditional accounting tasks. This position can work remotely from anywhere in the USA.

Responsibilities
  • Support M&A Accounting Operations Manager in integrating acquired entities into the Autodesk ecosystem efficiently and automatically.
  • Analyze accounting, reporting, and process implications of acquired entities and provide guidance.
  • Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations for M&A revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for M&A revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Prepare quarterly audit schedules and periodic reports for internal and external reporting.
  • Implement and document processes and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Participate in company-wide projects related to revenue accounting and order-to-cash cycles.
  • Draft technical accounting memos, particularly on ASC 606 application.
Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA license.
  • At least 3 years of experience, preferably combining public accounting and industry experience.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and technical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Experience with monthly/quarterly close activities, reconciliations, audit schedules, and working with auditors.
  • Experience analyzing contracts under ASC 606 and documenting conclusions.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems like SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Rev Pro, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ASC 805-Business Combinations.
  • Experience in the software industry.
