Observable Space is seeking a data-driven Recruiter to build and scale our engineering hiring. You will partner with engineering leaders to attract, assess, and close exceptional talent while shaping scalable recruiting practices as the company grows.

The right candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, moves quickly, builds strong relationships, and rolls up their sleeves to get things done—while enjoying the mission in space hardware and software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years full lifecycle recruiting experience, with a focus on engineering hiring.
• 2+ years business-facing responsibilities working directly with hiring teams to source, assess, and close candidates.
• 3+ years cross-functional recruiting across the recruiting process with multiple stakeholders.
• 3+ years using recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM, ATS) for sourcing and candidate management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring teams to build and execute sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with ROI awareness.
• Attract passive candidates and assess fit beyond selling a role.
• Build and maintain a candidate network; conduct in-depth interviews with high interview-to-offer ratios.
• Recommend recruitment strategies to support long-term growth and refine processes for the mission.
• Interview candidates within the position framework; screen, interview, and prepare an ideal slate within timeline.
• Participate in special projects and assessments of best practices in interviewing techniques.
